My Story

I hope you are having a blessed day and staying well with your loved ones! Praise the Lord my family and I attend United Pentecostal Church; we go on Thursdays and Sundays. We appreciate so much the encouraging words that LW staff gave us this time to continue trusting in God. I want you to pray for my mother because she is sick with diabetes and now high blood pressure; fortunately, she is under medical treatment. Besides that, we are fine at home. My father is Daniel Soc Tambriz, and he is 46 years old. He is employed as both a farmer and a day laborer to supply the family´s needs. My mother is Candelaria Hernandez, and she is 49 years old. She usually stays busy with the housework and taking care of my siblings and me. She also raises hens to sell when we have some need. At home, we harvest corn and bananas for the family's consumption.

I am Lesvia Isabel, and my current age is 21 years old. I work as a seamstress in Zacualpa`s town and I give financial support to my family. My dream is to become a professional seamstress and get a better income. The language I would like to learn is English; it is so interesting. The climate I prefer is summer; I do not like the humid environment. The marathon is the sport I like the most. Let me tell you that here in Guatemala, we have a protein drink called “Incaparina” which is delicious and is my favorite drink. On my birthday, my family celebrates with a cake; I like to have my family with me. I want to express my gratitude through this for all the support I have been receiving from you through Living Water program; it is so helpful for me and my family. We are in need of groceries and corn. I would like to hear from you soon. Please take care. I pray God blesses you in your daily activities!

Kind regards,

Lesvia Isabel Soc Hernandez
