My Story

Hello! It is a pleasure to greet you cordially and hope you are doing fine.  In this opportunity, I want to share some news about my family and me. My mother`s name is Estela Yat Giron. She is 39 years old. Currently, she is doing chores at home. In addition, she raises hens to sell and get some income. My father`s name is Fabian Garcia Jimon. He is 42 years old. Nowadays, he continues working as a farmer in order to support the family. Thank God, he works hard along with my mother to contribute to home expenses. We grow corn for our family's consumption. Our current needs are groceries because we are a humble family. At the moment, we continue attending the Adventist Church twice a week. Thank you to LW for the encouraging words that they shared with my mother during the visit, so she is sure of her salvation. By the grace of God, my family and I are in good health.

My name is Debora Nereida Garcia Yat and I am 13 years old. This year I am in 7^th grade at school. I am receiving face-to-face classes every day and I like this study method because I understand all about my homework. At the moment, my parents are making an effort to support me and my brother at school even though they do not have a stable job and school fees are expensive. Sometimes, it is difficult to buy my school uniforms. My dream is to become a teacher. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn English. My favorite celebration is “New Year” because I like to begin another year.  I like to drink orange juice. What I would like for my birthday is that my parents buy me a cake.  Among sports, I prefer soccer. My family and I are grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. Thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive through LW Adopt-A-Child in December. Thank you for reading my letter.  May God bless you greatly!
