My Story

Hi! It is a pleasure to greet you cordially and hoping you and your family are doing fine. I want to tell you a little about my family and me through this letter. I am Jonathan Israel Vasquez Pol and I am 12 years old.  As a family, we continue attending the Catholic Church once a week. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team for their encouraging words to my mother during the visit, she is sure of her salvation and she trusts in God.  This year, I studied the 6th grade at school; I received face-to-face classes every day and learned a lot with this study method. Nowadays, school fees are expensive, but my mother made an effort to support my brother and me with school expenses. Sometimes, it was very difficult to cover every expense since she did not have a stable job. My dream is to become a dentist. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, but I would like to learn English; which is a very interesting language. My favorite celebration of the year is my birthday because I go outside with my family. I like to drink milk. Among sports, I prefer swimming. Thank God, my family and I are in good health.

My mother`s name is Gloria Pol Tum. She is 36 years old. Currently, she continues selling second-hand clothes in her own business. My father`s name is Josue Israel Vasquez Rosales. He is 35 years old. At the moment, he continues living and working in the United States 5 years ago.  Fortunately, he supports us financially, but we do not know about the work that he does there.  We are very grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive every December through LW. I hope you like my letter. May God bless you greatly!

Lots of love,

Jonathan Israel Vasquez Pol
