My Story

Hello! How are you? I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Catarina Garcia Jimon, and I want to tell you how my family and I are doing this year. We are Catholic people, and we attend the mass every Monday and Wednesday. We have accepted Jesus in our hearts, and we are assured of our Salvation. I live with my parents. My father’s name is Pablo, and he is 54 years old. He works as a day laborer to cover the family needs. My mother’s name is Juana, and she works hard at home as well as embroidering blouses for selling. We are a humble family, and our frequent needs are groceries like corn. We grow corn, black beans and bananas for our consumption.

I tell you that I keep at home helping my mother with the chores. I am 13 years old, and I want to become a seamstress when I am older. I get so happy when it is my birthday because I know that I will have new challenges in life. My favorite sport is swimming, and I like drinking peach juice. I love Christmas celebration because we prepare different dishes. I am in good health, and I want to improve my Spanish since I speak Quiche dialect mostly. It is a great blessing for my family that I am part of Living Water and your life; I am so grateful to you. I say goodbye to you for now, and I pray God blesses you in a big way.

Kisses and hugs
