My Story

It is a wonderful day to say hello to you! This is Lester Geovany Morente Ixporpuac and I am already 14 years old. Praise the Lord, we continue attending Methodist Church on Mondays and Fridays. We appreciate the spiritual support that we received from Living Water; this time they shared the gospel with us. My father is Camilo, and he is 38 years old. He makes a living by delivering construction materials to the people's houses. My mother is Maria, and she is 36 years old. She is a housewife and embroiders fabric napkins for selling to get income. In addition, we raise hens to eat them or to sell if we have some need. We also grow corn and black beans for our consumption. I am fine and so is my family. Recently, I got a cough, but I visited the doctor in the LW clinics and now I am much better.

I no longer attend school this year because I did not want to. For now, I stay at home and occasionally, I go to work as a day laborer. My desire is to become a musician, and I would like to play conga instrument. I would like to learn English; I think it is a very interesting language. I enjoy apple juice; it is my favorite drink. Something I love on my birthday is that my relatives come to my home, and we have a small party. I like Christmas time because there are firecrackers everywhere, and I light some with my friends. I like to play football in my free time; it is the sport I like the most. To be part of the feeding program is so helpful to my siblings and me because if we get sick, we can attend the doctor in the clinics and receive our medicines. In addition, I receive a Christmas gift. We are a humble family, so our greatest needs are groceries and corn. Hoping to receive news from you soon. Many and rich blessings for you!

With much love,

Lester Geovany Morente Ixporpuac
