I was born in Chixocol town, Zacualpa, Quiche into a non-Christian household. Thankfully, we sought God and started attending Liberty Church in Chixocol. When I was 8 years old, I lost my father and one of my youngest brothers in an accident. One of the biggest lessons I learned from my mother was to seek God even more in the hard times and not turn from Him. Even though I did not like attending the Bible classes at the feeding program, one day I understood what Jesus had done for me, and in that moment, I accepted Him as my Lord and Savior. I still remember that day very well.
Thanks to much support from my family, I was able to study and graduate as a teacher. Although that was not the career I wanted, I realized God was preparing me to teach and educate others. Sometime later, I had the opportunity to be part of the evangelism area of Living Water. Again, it was not something I wanted to do in the beginning, but God continued to direct me toward what He had planned for me. After a while, God put in my heart the desire to teach and prepare myself for something else. Then I had the opportunity to study the Bible, and this time God had already given me the desire and motivation to serve Him in that area. I received a scholarship from Living Water to study as a Faculty in Biblical Studies. It was a great blessing for me to be able to reach young people and children for the Lord, but being ordained as a pastor in 2014 brought me to another level. Now I am a pastor of Liberty Church in Tunaja.
The Lord continues to use Living Water to guide, accompany, prepare and send God's elect for his purposes. My wife Petronila was also part of the feeding program, and God has directed her to serve Him as well. Together we have three beautiful daughters, two of whom are registered in the feeding program, continuing our legacy.
