When I was 12 years old, Living Water brought its feeding program to Zacualpa and became established in Chixocol town, where I was born and raised. My family consisted of six brothers and three sisters, and we lived in extreme poverty. My parents did not have enough resources to cover our basic needs, including food, clothes, shoes and a decent place to live. But God, in His mercy, had a great plan for my life and the lives of many. He brought a couple of foreigners, Mack and Peggy McKeown, to Zacualpa to launch Living Water International and its wonderful feeding programs, where I was served delicious and nutritious meals.
My relationship with God began when Living Water missionaries Juan Rosal and Mr. Tomas Naz visited my house to evangelize. That evening, my whole family and I accepted Jesus into our hearts as our savior. In 1992, I was working in the ministry when Pastor Robin Garcia saw some potential in me and sent me to study for a year as an intern at the Bible Institute called "Cosecha el Mundo" in Guatemala City. In 2013, I graduated as a professor of Biblical Studies from the Central American Theological Seminary (SETECA). In 2018, I graduated with a degree in Christian School Education at Mariano Galvez University of Guatemala (UMG).
I have spent most of my life with Living Water, first as a registered child in the feeding program, then as an evangelism teacher, and now as a pastor of Zacualpa. I also work with middle school students in the different educational centers of Zacualpa. My wife Floricelda supports me in my call to serve.
